STARS and STARS Summer Kid's Camp, formerly known as the After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) run by the Grinnell-Newburg School District, is now part of the Galaxy Youth Center. When, due to budget issues, the program was not going to be kept, the Galaxy made it a priority to keep the program and offered to take it on as of June 1st, 2009.  STARS is held at Davis Elementary which the G-N School District generously lets the program continue to use, and is for students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. The program is open after school until 5:30pm, and in the summer is open from 7:30 - 6pm. STARS provides students with a safe, educational environment, where they have the opportunity to engage in a variety of educational and recreational activities and build positive relationships.
